In addition to nearly ten years as Board President, Advisory Board Member, Conflict Committee Member, and Acting General Manager for a luxury high rise and commercial development community in Greenwood Village, Colorado, John is an accomplished executive with recognized success in building and leading public and private companies in more than a dozen industries and not-for-profits, nationally and internationally.

Jennifer Burns​

Chief Financial Officer

Jennifer Burns has a degree in business administration from the University of Arizona and has spent the past 15 years as both a controller and divisional Vice President in the manufacturing industry.

Lauren Lee

Director of Community Services

Lauren has over 20 years of experience as a Community Association Manager. Her career started in Colorado, then moved to Arizona in 2004 where she has worked in both the Tucson and Phoenix areas, as a community association manager she has managed 55+ communities, large scale, and master developments.

Lauren received her Professional Community Association Manager designation in 2007. She believes in working with owners to build a better community together.

Deborah M. Colon-Mateo, Ph.D.

Director of Project Services

Deborah M. Colon-Mateo, Ph.D. is a native Tucsonan and has been in the Homeowners Association (HOA) industry since 1993. Deborah spent the last 30 years as the Chief Information Officer in the HOA industry. At HBS, Deborah specializes in Architectural Review processes, electronic organization & filing, contracts, policies & procedures, and information technology.

Deborah received her Bachelor’s in Communication with a minor in Psychology & Business from the University of Arizona, her tri-masters from Jones International University, Summa cum laude in Information Technology Management, Negotiation, and Conflict Management, and Healthcare Management, along with her Doctorate in Business Administration at California Intercontinental University, Summa cum laude.

Deborah earned our profession’s highest certification of Professional Community Association Management (PCAM®) on May 1, 1996, the designation of Certified Manager of Community Associations (CMCA), as well as Certified Arizona Association Manager (CAAM) through the Arizona Association of Community Managers. She is the company’s Legal Document Preparer (#80682) and State of Arizona Notary.

Cindy Kightlinger

Executive Administrator

Cindy Kightlinger grew up in Tucson and spent over 15 years in the Washington DC Metro area but is happy to be home. Cindy’s recent professional experience includes Administration and Management in Oral Surgery and General Dentistry. Currently, Cindy serves as the Executive Administrator which allows her the opportunity to work with Accounting, Community Management and Operations to ensure all departments run smoothly. Cindy’s detailed and pro-active approach make her a great resource for HBS Stratford as the business continues to grow and excel.

Cindy obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and loves continuing to learn about human behavior.
